Sitting in a cafe' in the Northwest side of Shanghai I finally found some time (although I am steeling it away from writing a paper on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization for my Chinese Economy class) to work at a few more of the photos I took during my trip to India this past Christmas. I have a few more days here in Shanghai then I will take off for about three weeks of traveling. I will first take a trip to the autonomous region of Xinjiang, in Northwestern China, at the border with Pakistan and Kyrgysistan. Then I will go back to Europe for another ten days and will finally be back in Shanghai on May 13th. This is all very exciting an

I finally bought myself a new camera! It's a Canon EOS 400D, I think. In its Chinese version. The options among which to choose were not that wide, but sometimes the lack of alternatives can be a relief. Instead of wasting days on teh computer trying to figure out what camera would be the best, reading reviews and asking friends for advice, I just went to the store and bought the one Digital SLR that fit my budget and is of a brand I know and trust. Although I had always liked Nikon over Canon. And I am as happy as I would be with just about every other camera of the same type. It was an expensive purchase. In China everything is much cheaper

My first four days in China have been quite intense, lots of interesting experiences already happened.
